Add Keynote Presentations to your Ipad

If you picked up your ipad today, you are no doubt playing around with it.

I picked one up today. I wanted it mostly for presentations. As presentations were my main intended use for it, I have been spending most of my time playing around with keynote. The app is great, I look forward to creating stuff on it on the go. One of the things that I wanted was the ability to import my existing keynote presentations – and it wasn’t immediately clear to me how to do this.

It’s pretty simple actually, but I wanted to make a quick how-to for people that are searching for the same thing. You don’t need to email yourself the presentation to make it work.

You do need to:

1. Purchase the application for the iwork program you want to use.
2. Open up Itunes.
3. In Itunes, click on your Ipad.
4. Click on the “Apps” tab.
5. At the bottom of the page, you will see this:

6. Drag your presentation from your mac and drop it in the “Keynote Documents” box.
7. Sync your ipad.

Voila! Your keynote presentation is on your ipad.

I created this how-to after reading Jon’s blog suggesting the email method – check out his method here: http://mobilemeandering.com/198/how-to-import-keynote-or-powerpoint-presentations-into-the-ipad

As for the ipad. did you pick one up today? What do you plan on using it for?
